Privacy Notice to Call Attendees

Effective Date: August 1st, 2025

This notice applies when you join audio or video calls with Blacklane representatives and recordings are processed via Gong.io (“Gong”), on behalf of Blacklane.

1. Controller and Subprocessor Roles

Blacklane GmbH is the data controller for personal data captured during calls. See section 13 in Blacklane’s main Privacy Policy for sub-processor relationships.

Gong.io Inc. / Gong.io Ltd. acts as a processor/subprocessor, receiving and processing data strictly per Blacklane’s instructions as outlined in their DPA.

2. Types of Personal Data & Purposes

Blacklane may collect and submits via Gong:

  • Call recordings (audio/video)
  • Transcripts of spoken conversations
  • Participant identifiers (name, username, email if linked)
  • Meeting and technical metadata (timestamps, IP, device, agent) More on Gong Privacy Policy

Purpose: Improve sales performance, coaching, analytics, and product/call insights.

-Or clicking “Join the Call” after reading a recording notice.

For jurisdictions requiring all-party consent (e.g., EU, UK, California, Canada), Blacklane ensures notifications are delivered via Gong’s automated system, or verbal consent prior to recording. See more here.

Participants may opt out of recording or transcription by informing the Blacklane representative at the start of the call, without any consequence.

5. Data Sharing, Retention & Access Requests

Gong processes and stores data only on behalf of Blacklane, in secure EU infrastructure in Ireland and other certified facilities (€U–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, UK extension, Swiss extension) See more here.

Gong deletes customer data within 30 days of contract termination or expiration.

Data subject rights (access, correction, deletion) can be exercised via dataprotection@blacklane.com.

6. Security & Subprocessor Oversight

Gong holds SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001/27017/27018/27701 certifications, and appears in CSA STAR registry help.gong.io.

Gong maintains a live subprocessor registry and provides mechanisms for Blacklane to monitor, object, or audit any new subprocessor relationships Blacklane+1.
