Launch of City-to-Slopes Service

Expanding our popular City-to-City service, we introduced the City-to-Slopes routes to cater to winter sport enthusiasts. This new service includes connections from major cities to renowned ski resorts in Switzerland, France, Germany, and the US, providing our guests with seamless and stylish access to their favorite winter destinations.

In a similar expansion, we launched City-to-Beach routes, enhancing our City-to-City offerings to include sunny beach destinations. A significant collaboration in 2024 was with SIXT, making Blacklane chauffeur services bookable through SIXT ride in North America. This partnership enhances the flexibility and convenience for our clients, integrating our luxury chauffeur services with SIXT's robust mobility solutions. This integration offers a diverse range of vehicle options and booking conveniences through the SIXT app, catering to both business and leisure travelers.

Insightful Business Travel Trends Report

In September 2024, Blacklane conducted comprehensive research involving over 3,000 business travelers from the UK, US, and UAE. This insight aimed to assess the impact of travel stress on productivity among business professionals. 

The data revealed that nearly nine in ten participants reported losing at least an hour of productivity due to travel-related stress, with senior executives frequently losing several hours. Key issues identified included the rising costs of travel not matching the quality of service provided. The findings suggest that enhancing travel arrangements with premium services such as pre-booked private airport transfers, continuous WiFi, and access to better travel classes can significantly improve productivity and reduce stress on business trips.

Record-Breaking Financing Round

In October 2024, Blacklane successfully closed its largest financing round ever, raising €60 million (approximately $65 million USD), marking a 25% increase in valuation from our previous round in 2023. This round was robustly supported by existing investors, including high-profile partners like Mercedes-Benz Mobility. This funding will enable us to deepen our market penetration in the U.S., expand our operations to key cities in Saudi Arabia with a new fleet of electric vehicles, and foster innovations in global and local mobility solutions. The investment will also support the launch of unique training programs at our Chauffeur Academies in Saudi Arabia, aimed at elevating the luxury chauffeur experience tailored to the region's burgeoning market needs.

The BAMBI Awards, one of Germany's most prestigious cultural honors, recognize excellence in international media and television with an emphasis on achievements in entertainment, literature, sports, and politics.
